The U-Shop is pleased to offer students a new and convenient way to buy or rent textbooks. Please read the information below and acknowledge that you understand our terms and conditions by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
Textbook Information
To the best of our ability, the Villanova University Shop strives to ensure the accuracy of the textbook information provided. However, please be aware of the following:
- Prices may fluctuate prior to the start of the class.
- Textbook information may not be complete for every class.
- Textbook information may change prior to the start of the class.
- Used textbooks do not include software or access codes.
- Classes may be canceled by Villanova University.

Textbook Rental Information
We are pleased to announce textbook rental options through the University Shop. Textbook rentals are subject to the rental terms listed on the rental website. Visit the U-Shop and stop by one of our rental kiosks to create your personal rental account and get more information.
Please note: Used textbooks do not include software or access codes.
Textbook Shipping
Use the Student Mail Room Pickup/Law School Copy Center ($4.00 charge) option to pick up textbook orders on campus. Once processed your order will be available for pick up in either the Kennedy Hall Mail Room, West Campus Mail Room, or Law School Copy Center depending on what option you selected.
Course Book Returns (new or used)
For current semester course books the “Text Refund Deadline” is 5 business days from the first day of the start of classes. Current semester course books purchased after the “Text Refund Deadline” are unreturnable.
Textbook rentals are subject to the rental terms listed on the rental website.
Textbook refund deadlines are:
- For current semester course books the “Text Refund Deadline” is 5 business days from the first day of the start of classes..
- Current semester course books purchased after the “Text Refund Deadline” are not returnable.
If the course is dropped, the books may be returned, with an approved drop form, up to 5 business days from the first day of the start of classes.
If you withdraw from a course, you may return textbooks, with an approved withdrawal form, and original cash register receipt, up through the end of the fourth week from the first day of the start of Fall/Spring classes. If you withdraw from a Summer Session course, you may return your textbook within 5 business days of the start of that Summer Session.
New book purchases are NOT returnable if the books are not in new salable condition. Determining new saleable condition is at the discretion of University Shop management.
Rental books and digital content purchased through the store’s affiliate partners are returnable through the affiliate partner as per their refund policies.
The following items are deemed unreturnable, unless defective, and then only on an exchange basis, with a receipt and within the "Textbook Refund Deadline": non-course paperback books, reference books, study aids, all textbooks, which are shrink-wrapped in plastic and/or labeled “Non Returnable If Unwrapped” or “Magnetic Media Enclosed” and shipping charges. This list is not all-inclusive, other items may be deemed unreturnable at the discretion of the manager.
FINAL NOTE: This policy will be strictly enforced. The management of the University Shop reserves the right to make any exceptions to this policy as deemed appropriate.
