U-Shop Refund Policy 2. The merchandise being returned can be matched to descriptions and prices on the cash register receipt. 3. The merchandise is in resalable condition, still bears the University Shop price marking and is complete with any original packaging. (Store management reserves the right to judge the condition of the merchandise, especially new textbooks.) 4. The current date may not be more than 30 calendar days from the date of purchase. 5. After 30 days but before 90 days with a receipt and if the merchandise is in resalable condition you may receive an even exchange or a U-Shop Gift Card. 6. If the merchandise was originally paid for with cash, money order, travelers check or personal check (10 day waiting period for checks), the refund will be given in cash. 7. If the merchandise was originally paid for with a credit card or debit card, the refund with be processed as a credit to the same card. 8. If the item being returned was a gift, and proof of purchase is provided, the refund will be given as a U-Shop Gift Card. 1. The original cash register receipt is presented showing date of purchase, prices paid, product description and method of payment. This receipt may not be defaced or altered in any way. 2. For current semester course books the “Text Refund Deadline” is 5 business days from the first day of the start of classes. 6. Course Withdrawals may receive a refund up to 5 business days form the date of withdrawal with a dated and approved drop form in addition to the cash register's receipt. 7. New book purchases are NOT returnable if the books are not in new salable condition. Determining new saleable condition is at the discretion of University Shop management. 8. Rental books and digital content purchased through the store’s affiliate partners are returnable through the affilate partner as per their refund policies. 9. The following items are deemed unreturnable, unless defective, and then only on an exchange basis, with a receipt and within the "TextBook Refund Deadline" non-course paperback books, reference books, study aids, all textbooks, which are shrink-wrapped in plastic and/or labeled “Non Returnable If Unwrapped” or “Magnetic Media Enclosed and shipping charges. This list is not all-inclusive, other items may be deemed unreturnable at the discretion of the manager. Revised December 2012 |
